Kopaonik in April?

Hi

I'm due to be travelling from Belgrade to Montengro between the 1st and 10th of April 08 and considering going via Kop.

Does anyone know if Kopaonik will be worth a visit at this time of year or will the slopes likly be closed / very poor snow?

Hello MP2007 - if you click this link http://www.eng.infokop.net/ski-info.html on the infoKop website, you can look at historical snow depths since 2006 - it also tells you which runs were open & if the ski school was running. Looks like for the last 2 years many runs were open and snow depths were OK. This year though the snow depths have really diminished recently and the temperatures have been quite high, so unless there's some large snow dumps soon, I'm not sure how good the snow would be in early April.... It's a great place though - we're booking shortly to go back next year for the 3rd year running.
